David M. Johnson, Partner

Dave Johnson has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry. He has identified, planned, and conducted successful engagements in a variety of contract compliance reviews including onshore and offshore joint ventures, vendor and construction contract reviews, and business ethics investigations. Before joining AMS-PAR, he served as an Internal Audit Director at Mission Resources and Internal Control Auditor Manager at Marathon Oil Company. Throughout his career, Dave has held positions that give him unique insight into our client’s needs. Those positions included assignments in accounting, procurement, forecasting and auditing. Dave has also provided expert testimony in state and federal court.

Dave is an active member of COPAS and was the Houston Society Audit Committee Chair. He is also involved with the Institute of Internal Auditors, having developed and taught an introductory audit class for the API and IIA. A CIA and CMA, he stresses goal orientation to develop cost-effective solutions for clients.

Robert C. Moore, Partner

Robert Moore brings more than 20 years of experience to the AMS-PAR team, including his accounting, finance, management and marketing backgrounds at Marathon Oil Company, Coastal, El Paso Corporation, and Ford Motor Credit. He has the necessary computer and analytical skills to provide the technical expertise needed in the analysis of large datasets obtained from clients. He holds an MBA from Indiana University with a double major in accounting and finance. He has managed and completed major vendor, infrastructure construction and supplier contract compliance engagements.

AMS-PAR professionals are among the most experienced in the business with an average of 25+ years in related fields. Each consultant has strong analytical skills and industry expertise. We seek out and retain those with demonstrated expertise and skills. Now staffed with more than 40 consultants, our firm offers both breadth and depth of knowledge in a wide range of industries, from oil and gas to government, and construction and utilities to manufacturing. Many of our consultants are specialists in particular fields, such as contract analysis, joint venture and international accounting, transfer measurement, product transportation, and gas marketing. Some have hands-on field experience, a rarity in our business.

As leaders in the field, we maintain an active presence in industry associations. Staff members have held leadership positions in the Dallas and Houston COPAS Societies, the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and the Chief Audit Executive roundtable.
