Vendor Project Manager

AMS-PAR seeks to recruit a Vendor Project Manager. This role is home based in Houston and is offered on a permanent basis.

The Vendor Project Manager will assume responsibility for managing a small number of staff as well as coaching and developing staff on their team to develop their technical skills and match their assignments to their skills. The role will also be responsible for developing the overall efficiency of the engagement process and the capability of the staff, analyzing evidence and develop findings which clearly outline the gaps that exist between current practices and compliance with company requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities: 

A key function of this position will also be to report findings to ensure understanding and acceptance across the client company to enable appropriate actions to be taken. There will be domestic and possibly international travel required.

Key Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business related field
Ten years of prior experience in the oil and gas industry, consulting firm or CPA firm
Prior supervisory experience position is essential
Superb written and oral communication skills
Strong knowledge of oil and gas industry
Can work alone to deliver results
Must be able to travel 10%to 35% in the US and abroad
Preferred languages include: Portuguese, Arabic, Russian and Spanish
SAP, SQL and Oracle experience a plus
